People have often asked what it takes to put together one of our infamous TV commercials – like this last one found here. Well, here’s the deal – it takes alot of hours and hard work to put a simple 30 second spot together. There’s the script writing, script approval, and script re-writes on the day of the shoot just for starters. Then there’s the location selection, equipment to haul around and setting it all up. Then there’s putting together the actors including our very own Kinzi! Isn’t she great? On the day of the shoot, we can spend anywhere between 2-4 hours filming all the different angles and versions just to get it right. We only have that one day so we have to get all the various shots at that moment.
Then there’s the editing and putting all the cool graphics we like to use in our ads. We were especially fond of this one featuring the Big Box store (it’s the only time we’ll give them a little love!!). Our guys do a tremendous job of making our ads stand out from the competition! Of course, then there’s an approval process and then it’s off to the media department at the local TV stations so the ads can make it to the air and into your living room.
Whew! It’s alot of work each month but promoting Carpet One’s specials is what we want to do. We want to make sure all of DFW knows about our 9 area locations and how we have the best prices and best warranties available. And putting together the TV ads is just one way we can do that.
